Spandex announces availability of new products for vehicle wrap and interior decor applications

Zurich, Switzerland – 3 June 2016 – Spandex, the one-stop supplier of innovative solutions to the sign, architectural and display industries, has added to its product portfolio with four new vehicle wrap films from Avery Dennison, 3M and Orafol, as well as an Avery Dennison wall film. All products are available for next day delivery.

3M Wrap Film Series 1380

The next generation of 3M wrap film, the 1380 series, is a range of ultra conformable, long-term cast films designed for solid colour vehicle wrapping, negating the need for additional graphic protection.

The series is available in 14 colours and provides excellent conformability for applications on recesses and deep channels. Available in 1.52-metre wide rolls, the films allow almost any section of a vehicle to be wrapped without seams.

Oracal 970 Premium Shift Effect Cast – new colours

Five new shades of the Oracal 970 Premium Shift Effect Cast films, which were launched at FESPA Digital 2016 earlier this year, are also being added to the company’s existing range of shift effect films. The films, which change colour depending on the viewing angle, have been specially developed for car wrapping. The new colours come in pearl symphony, avocado, amethyst, aquamarine and ultramarine violet, in either a gloss or matt finish.

Avery Dennison Transparent Coloured Overlaminates

Three new transparent coloured overlaminates for Avery’s Conform Chrome films in orange, purple and green are being introduced. Using these new overlaminates, vehicle wrappers can create exciting colour combinations and effects by combining with the existing Conform Chrome films in silver, gold, blue, red and black. Not only do they enhance the look of any vehicle by leaving a mirror-like finish, they also have good conformability around curves and recesses.

Avery Dennison MPI 1105 Wrapping Series

Avery Dennison MPI 1105 wrapping series is Spandex’s latest launch for vehicle wraps and other challenging applications offering excellent printability and image quality. With its 3D conformability the film can cope easily with the most demanding corrugations. Compatible with UV, solvent, eco-solvent and latex inks, the films make use of the Easy Apply RS adhesive technology for easier installation.

Avery Dennison MPI 8000 Wall Film Series

Adding to Spandex’s range of interior décor solutions is the new Avery Dennison MPI 8000 Wall Film Series. Available in six different options including three textured films – canvas, stone and stucco, the series will help sign makers create custom wall graphics for short and long-term applications.

Suitable for hotels, commercial spaces, offices, retail, exhibitions and more, the films are thick, which make them easy to apply, but with excellent opacity ensuring the underlying wall is completely concealed.

“As the House of Brands, Spandex is able to offer the latest products across a range of brands, so sign makers and graphics producers can find the best solution for their individual applications,” comments Leon Watson at Spandex.

“These latest additions to our portfolio reflect the dynamism and growth in the market for innovative and standout products, especially in vehicle wrapping and interior décor. The wrap products in particular will help vehicle wrappers create truly bespoke and eye-catching designs.”
