Zurich, 31 July 2017 – Spandex, the one-stop supplier of innovative solutions to the sign, graphics and display industries, is further strengthening its market position in the Nordic region with the acquisition of Skangraf AS, an established distributor to the Norwegian sign and display market.
Skangraf is a highly-regarded supplier of roll media to more than 1000 customers in Norway, with a 23-year history in the business and a strong reputation for service quality and next-day delivery from its base in Larvik. The company is the sole authorised distributor of Orafol sign, digital and reflective materials and double-sided tapes in Norway. Skangraf’s product portfolio also includes materials from R-Tape, Stahls, Dataplot, Lintec, ATgraphix, Georg + Otto Friedrich and Poli-Tape.
The move builds on Spandex’s acquisition of Schneidler Grafiska AB in 2016 to offer Norwegian and Swedish signage and graphics professionals a comprehensive range of products and services. Skangraf and Schneidler will continue to operate under their own names and locations, with the same experienced professionals who will work more closely together to benefit from this new partnership.
Over time, customers of both companies will benefit from enhanced skills they can call upon for help and advice and a combined product portfolio which includes leading brands such as Orafol, 3M, Avery Dennison and ImagePerfect, Spandex’s own-brand of coloured self-adhesive signage films and digital roll media products.
Anne-Lise Torp Sells, Founder and Managing Director at Skangraf comments: “I look forward to continuing to lead Skangraf as part of the Spandex organisation.
Spandex is a well-known brand with similar values and high-quality customer service as our own. Being part of the Spandex organisation means that we can offer an enhanced product range to our existing customers, providing them with the tools to help them take advantage of new business opportunities.”
Rob Jackson, Vice President, Spandex concludes: “Skangraf has a strong heritage within the Norwegian market and its unique ‘roll media’ focus has allowed it to grow at a fast and profitable pace. This exciting acquisition will allow us to expand the portfolio of products and solutions we can offer and combine the skills, services and expertise of both organisations, enabling us to develop a unified offering to the Norwegian market ensuring the best customer service for existing and new customers.”
